April VBS at Saviour King Church & Kibera School

We held a Vocational Bible Study (VBS) at Saviour King Church, Kamulu and Saviour King School, Kibera, during the April school holiday. This event drew its theme from Luke 2:52, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man”.  Over 100 children participated in Kamulu, aged three to 18 years. The VBS at Saviour King School, Kibera, was equally successful with over 150 children, including pupils and kids from the area, in attendance.

The VBS had Bible lessons and physical exercise sessions to enlighten the children on the desirable lifestyle of an individual who believes and follows Christ.

Children were split into various age groups to ensure easier interactions. As such, there was a Sunday school class of kids up to about 10 years, while the rest made up the other group that consisted of teens and pre-teens. The Sunday school kids had a memorable time colouring Bible characters that described the message in Luke 2:52. The event in Kibera culminated with a meal served to over 150 kids.

We hope to have regular VBS sessions during the holidays as they help involve children and keep them out of trouble.
