About Us
Beginning
Garden Of Eden Kenya started in 2006 with a weekly Children’s Bible club in Kibera slum every Saturday. At the same time we had a sponsorship program which was taking care of 20 Children by meeting their basic needs of school fees, school supplies, clothing, a meal a day and health care. The Lord has expanded us and today we are taking care of about 700 Children. In 2008 we started Saviour King Academy which now takes care of over 600 Children. Our Garden Of Eden Children’s Village which was started in 2012 now has 45 children who we are taking care of and meeting all their basic needs in the home.
Know the Founders
Thomas and Beatrice are missionaries serving in the home country of Kenya with a long road of experience, their initial training and service began with the organizations: Youth with a Mission, The Harvest Centre Church, Dorcas Aid International, Child Evangelism Fellowship and Awana. Within these networks Tom and Beatrice specialized in serving street children and child evangelism. Tom also completed his education at Bible College to further his growing ministries with the youth.
Today, Tom and Beatrice are continuing to obey the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ by reaching out to the poor and needy in the slums through evangelism, education, child sponsorship, and Church planting.
Together they founded Garden Of Eden Kenya, which encompasses two primary schools nestled in the heart of Kibera slums. Offering the hope of a brighter future, Saviour King School serves and educates over 600 children. Additionally, with the help of partnering organizations and other well-wishers, they started a children’s home and worship center. Over the years, their heart and calling to proclaim the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ has remained at the center of everything they do.
